Nice, I always liked white for a lot of sports cars. My VR-4 was and I loved how it looked.

They advertise it as a '94 but Carfax says '93. Engine bay and back seats say '93 as well. The '92 I recently purchase was advertised as "a 1998 Porsche 968, blue". It is a '92 Polar Silver! But the confusing advertising is probably how I got the car before anybody else figured it out. This is a nice looking rig. I tried to buy a white with cashmere a couple years ago but someone beat me to it.

don't trust carfax, but the serial number will tell you for sure. the serial number shows it as a 93. ads are frequently wrong. sometimes you get lucky like you did. most of the time it's disappointing.

Pretty good looking car. "Needs nothing" is such a relative term - I can see a couple things - dent under the passenger headlight, piping coming out from under the passenger shark fin,... Pretty darned minor items though for a 20-year-old car.

lol - yeah - that's the "rose colored glasses" thing again. we tend not to notice things on our own cars.

do you guys think even at $13,000 it's a good deal - this would be potentially a third 968 i can look at next week while I am in the area

1) blue/cashmere - which you guys all but talked me out of

2) black/black race prepped for $17k

3) and this one

I'd assume it will sell for less than the asking price, and when shopping for 968's you rarely if ever get a "selection", so yes I'd look at it if you're going to be in the area anyway.

The white car looks like a decent candidate if you can talk the seller off the ledge about the price. Too many $$ for too many miles.

If you do buy it, for the love of &^%&(^&^ PLEASE BURN THOSE FLOOR MATS!!!

JMHO,

Jay

i'm trying to figure out what happened to the white car -- it apparently sold for $9,995 on Jan 5 this year on ebay - but clearly the same owner rennhaus fl (a shop in sarasota) has relisted the car with a buy it now price of $12,995 and a first bid of $10,000

i wonder if the successful bidder at $9995 backed out after inspection or likely didn't secure the funds --

wonder if they will take $9995 for it

Offer him 10K so he can at least go out for a cup of coffee on the profit. Let him know you know the past sales history and you may get it for close to the last price. He obviously knows no one is going to give him a 3K profit with the history so clearly available.

Someone must have backed out, and maybe they made some repairs.

The listing has the same pictures.

im more confused than ever - i looked at the original link posted by Flash - and upon closer exam, that auction ended Nov. 23, 2012 without any bids - the ebay link has another link saying it was reposted by the seller -- which if you continue to click shows the sale for $9,995 on Jan. 5, 2013 -- i guess ill call the place tomorrow to see what's the story
