Alignment?
#1

Hello all

Can anyone confirm I am correct in my thinking - just had alignment done due to new struts fitted and castor blocks -

Went in driving straight yet the before setting were out negative camber and to much castor so showing red as incorrect.

Just got car back and its all in the green yet not the same each side on camber and castor am I right that this will cause the drift to the left which I am experiencing now.

When I use to do all my own alignment I always matched left and right and it was always ok. Should the garage be doing the same?

Thanks

The difference could be intentional to help account for road crown? I know others have said as much, that its a helpful tweak for hwy driving. But just a guess

Did you have weight added to drivers seat during alignment?

How much gas in tank?

And of course, importantly, how does the car feel now?

Should not pull, if it does i would agree more adjustment needed. Sould track straight and true

Thanks it had half a taken - in past i did it myself - however with present job I dont have access to equipment.

In past I set everything the same and it was fine - so its going back for them to set it the same both sides.

It drifts to one side quickly without weight on stearing .

that's not right, you should take it back and make sure that the numbers come up the same the second time. My alignment shop aligns autocross and race cars and they like to set the sides up slightly different to compensate for the weight of the driver. don't forget, it will take a while for the tires to wear into the new alignment pattern, so it may drive funny for a bit.
