Perhaps we are looking at this the wrong way. In our self indulgent, immediate gratification and pure narcissistic society are we any different than anyone else? We work hard, play hard and purchase a 968 that we love and revere. We are merely part of the norm and thus there can be no vanity here. The only difference is that we seek out the unusual, not the mainstream that our lemming brothers do. For that perhaps we are visionaries and not followers. Vanity no, artists who primp and show their canvas yes.
