I would like to see some Strosek 968 wide body pictures if anybody has them.

Does that have the GT Racing-like modified rear hatch? Doesn't look like it has the standard hatch glass.

I don't like the strotesk look's .

No taste what so ever , should be forbidden to mess up a 968 like that .

I completely agree. In particular, that rear hatch is a hideous monstrosity.

That rear hatch belongs on a Trans Am.

DS968, Thanks for posting the pics. I agree with Cloud on that hideous hatch but I kind of like the side skirts.

Yup, not sure what they were thinking with that hatch ( F-ugly ! ) They could have just stuck to the side skirts for the wider body look and leaving everything else alone would have been fine, IMO. A while ago I saw the side skirts for sale , that's what led me to the Strosek site, they did sell them separately so you don't have to buy the whole kit. IIRC, they're in Australia and shipping costs to the U.S. were prohibitively expensive ( charges would have nearly matched the entire price of the side panels )

The fit and quality of the package looks impressive. But It all makes the care very "busy", IMHO.

I think the idea behind the rear hatch is that by getting rid of the large glass window, you can save a lot of weight. The only problem is, the aerodynamic issues presented by the brown paper bag you have to put over the car if you want to take it out in public completely negates the weight advantage <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.png" class="smilie" alt="" />

i like the flying buttress idea, but the execution is piss poor. i've often thought that a rear similar to the honda del sol would look good on this car. having a real rear window, and a real trunk, making it a real coupe and not a hatchback is attractive to me.

the problem is the angles of the sides are not right. on the del sol, the deck lid is flat. on the 968, you would have to either raise the rear, or cut into the sides. this presents a problem due to the filler location. no easy solution for sure.

as for the rest, i like some of it, but not the rest. hard to tell though with that god awful yellow.
