968 Turbo, North of Portland, OR
#1

Just saw this on CL: $35,000 and 550 hp? Sounds like fun! Anybody on the site driven this car?

That must be a rush, and a handful.

probably feels like a 930 slantnose in a straight line from 50-100plus, just hang on.

Nice !! Great price I think. But the upkeep / maintenance need on the top end powerhaus turbos is not for those with little patience for the car being worked on 6 days just so you get to drive it on the 7th, or for those with a light wallet. long ago, we had a .net forum member locally with one, and the car hardly saw the outside of the garage. However, if that's not an issue and you want to have an absolute blast, not to mention at the expense of 99% of sports cars on the road, this might be for you. And no AC, though for the purpose you'd buy this I suspect that does not matter.

pretty sure that car is from powerhouse. i've seen it in person about 8 years ago. didn't run all that well. makes the big numbers, but not drivable. no chance of passing emissions either. i asked the guy about doing one, and he basically blew me off. just think of what things might be like had he have sold me one...............

p.s. - it's been for sale for a while.

lol - talk about false advertising.

replica? cracks me up. not even close. it's just a turbocharged standard car.

won le mans??? not only did it not win, it didn't even finish.

this is why craig's list sucks. at least with ebay you can get an add like that pulled for being grossly false.

At least they call it a replica and not the real mccoy, even if it's not even that. Somebody please buy this thing, but not anyone on this forum, so it won't show up again.
