If you take I40 and stay straight at OKC you would get to do Memphis or Nashville for a night and then over the Great Smoky National Park and a tour through the "Tail of the Dragon." Some of the Charlotte boys might make that. A bit far for me, but I could backtrack from Raleigh and head up I77 if you come that far South. Great roads through VA, MD, and PA.

Ok, I'll add some momentum to the Annapolis idea, huskydog. (doesn't hurt that I'd only put 3 miles on the car to get there, not that I'm trying to keep low mileage)
Nice central location for mid-Atlantic -- close to Philly, NY, DC, VA.
Great location, lots of beautiful spots around the water, could even look into doing something at city dock -- I think I've seen Viper and Corvette clubs have events there. And lots to do if you want a weekend getaway. Any time is fine except mid-July to late August....can get very hot and humid. Could we pull something off in May or is that too soon? If not, September and October are beautiful here.
I'd help, if others are on board to lead the effort.
