6 Cars on Death Row
#1

Looks like the Saturn Sky was a flop.

Viper is on the list.

And surprisingly, the S2000. A great car, but only so many can be sold.

Just the H3. I say delete the whole H line up.

The S2K and Viper is a shock. My buddy was looking for one a few years back and a couple of Honda dealerships had none on the lot and a waiting list.

Remember the mid 90s, with a down economy and disinterested sports car buying public, a few great cars ceased production:

Mazda's RX-7

Nissan's Zxxx

Yes, both cars are back!!!

However, I still prefer the 92-95 RX-7 over the new-ish RX-8 (still in production?).

Converesely, I like the Nissan Z350 and it's evolutionary replacement, the Z370 even better <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/biggrin.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

This may be unpopular, but I won't miss Dodge's Viper for a second. BIG, bloated, stupendiously heavy and a gargantuan "handful" to drive. To me it's a tasteless, expensive hot-mess!

2 cents,

Porsche

I'd heard the S2000 was nearing the end of its life, and that a very cool replacement was in the works. Wonder if the realities of today's auto market will put this on the back burner. A shame - the S2000 is a car overflowing with soul.

I was a little surprised about the PT Cruiser. I'd always thought that was a cool car, in a quirky sort of way, and one with a very practical interior layout. It seemed like one of Chrysler's rare successes, although I take it by the announcement that sales must have fallen off the table. Still, it's a little hard to imagine the PT Cruiser heading for the glue factory, while crap like the Sebring soldiers on.
