2008 968 Coupe
#1

So those of you that know me, know that I like to wash the car, look at the car, and drive the car.

I am not mechanically inclined and am afraid to look under the hood and I would not want to violate the car's privacy and secrets. Well September 26th I made settlement on my new house and have been rushing around and unpacking ever since. Because of being busy with the move and I work full time and am in school for my MBA, I decided to treat myself to a full detail. Even though the neighborhood is still filthy and under construction, I wanted the car to look nice when I pulled it into its new home for the first time.

On 968forums, I read about AZMobileDetailing, visited www.AZMobileDetailing.com, and arranged with Steve to have the car fully detailed. I feel so much better when the car is clean. I also saw that someone had posted pics of a detailed red Coupe that looked awesome. Steve came over my sister's house last week and worked passionately on my black coupe for over 3 hours. The price was extremely reasonable considering he came from NJ to PA to complete the job. For the price I expected an exterior detail, what I got was interior, exterior, and engine all done to perfection. Seriously...the car looks BRAND NEW! I showed my Mom and said, look at it, it looks like glass, she replied, "That's what your father said."

Steve is so passionate about 968's, he has 2. A red coupe and an extremely rare yellow cab! It was a pleasure to have someone passionate about 968's work on the car and do such a phenomenal job. Detailing the right way is an art form and Steve is freekin' Van Gogh.

I will attach some pics for you all to enjoy. I look at the car and can't believe it is mine.

If you see this Steve, THANKS so much, what an amazing job!

Steve

Steve, when are you coming to Atlanta to do my car? I have a black on black 968 that needs some love. The interior is in very good shape, but the paint needs a good polish/wax. I am getting small swirls and scratches.

Normally I HATE paying people to do work on my cars, house, etc. but I also hate polishing/waxing cars. Plus I think you probably do much better work than I can due to my lack of experience with bringing paint back to life.

You can add a second car in the Atlanta area to the list!

I have traveled quite a ways to detail cars in the past, and can be persuaded to do it again. If you were to get a group of people in the same area that wanted me to do their cars, I would be happy to drive down and do it!

I spent last night detailing with Joel (JWahlsten), so hopefully he'll chime in with some of the insight he gained about working on black cars! <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Black cars are the fastest, but they are a pain to keep clean and detail. How's that for chiming in.

Steve and I had a great time last night detailing the daily driver. The 330i looks great. I highly recommend Steve as very knowledgeable, and excellent to work with.

Steve, something came up this morning that I thought was going to force me to cancel our Tuesday afternoon appointment - but, before I could send you a note, it got cancelled. So, we're on for Tuesday afternoon. If you tell me how much time you need, that'll help me decide if I can get to you, or if you'll have to come to me (and that would be at my office that's roughly at the intersection of I-195 and Route 130 - if that's OK).

Jim

PS - we never discussed pricing, so you should tell me so that I'm ready with the appropriate compensation.
