Hello my name is Arthur and I have for long been a fan of the 968 cars. When I was younger my family owned a 944 CAB and in short I loved the car.

I would like to buy a 968 CAB for myself and I notice that the prices are ALL OVER THE PLACE, does anyone have any comments?

In the interum a review of Kelly Blue Book and EBAY reviels SEVERAL NICE CARS THAT HAVE A DEALER TRADE IN OR CONFIRMED SOLD PRICE OF $7,500 to $12,500.

Point is the selling prices would appear to be 25% to 50% less than alot of the asking prices.

Typical 968 prices are as you say. But if you want to buy a car from an enthusiast, the price is doubled. Some think this is ridiculous, but consider that this is a rare car, and it is hard to find one in very nice condition, so if you want a perfect car, you have to pay an enthusiast $20k. If you want a good car, you can find one either here or out there for anywhere between 11k and 16k. If you want a so-so car with a couple problems, you can get it for less than 10k easily.

I bought mine from an enthusiast for 10k, no problems. I got lucky.

My mom bought hers from a normal person for less than 10k, no problems, but it needed some attention. Again, this was a good find.

If you work on your own car, then go ahead and grab one of the cheaper 968s out there. These are fairly easy to work on. But if you buy it TOO cheap, it is likely it will need a lot of work. And 968s are expensive to work on. Either way you go, good luck.
