Don't buy the old tires! I have 2007/2008 Michelin PS2's on my car and they're hard as rocks and loud as a Metallica concert.
You should be ok with those offsets. I have 18x10's in the rear with a 65 offset and get no rubbing with a 285/30-18 tire and 1.4˚ neg camber.

It's definitely a close fit in the rear. The inside edge of the tire is no more than 1 or 2 mm away from the brake line. Or is that the parking brake cable? It doesn't touch, but it is VERY close.
I'm actually considering spacers (maybe 7 or 10mm, and longer studs) to push my rears outboard a little. Visually, they sit inboard just a little too far in relation to the fender lip - to my OCD eye anyway. The fronts sit perfect.

Has anyone tried the new Fuchs being made? Saw the advertisement in Panorama and checked out the website. The 17x9 is listed as weighing only 17.5 lbs. $778 each. That's more than I'd like to pay, but not ridiculous. Considering going 17x9 all around.

In this case, was looking at function (much less unsprung weight) over style. They do look like they'd be easy to clean...
