the process has begun - you will begin to see changes over the next couple of days - some of them are already in place - the major software changes and such will be done today - then some tweaking is involved - we hope to have everything up and running by the end of the weekend

One suggestion on the sponsors listing. There seems to be lots of white space on the top right. I would recommend using more of a horizontal banner ad on the top. Here is my quick 2 min mockup to communicate the feedback:

Also, I don't think you need a "Sponsors" title, it's obvious they are sponsors. You can state they are sponsors on the main 968forums.com page but then get rid of the sponsors label in the forums.

I agree with Armando. Overall everything looks and functions great so far, but I think his proposal lends to a much more balanced looking design.
