also, keep in mind that we need to accommodate multiple screen layouts - it is set to fit 1024 x 768, which is the most common size

The only concern I have is the sponsor banner. The banner at the top forces you to scroll to read nearly anything. Particularly true on a laptop. I think they are better at the side - and if they scroll with the text they are always visible (though this format may not have that capability).

ok - sponsor bar has been shortened - dead spaces have been shortened - this pushed the sponsors and such up a LOT - so, for now, this is what it is - gotta pay the bills
