A friend sent me this link to a supposedly " showroom condition " 968 for sale at what I'd venture to say is a remarkably low price , if everything mentioned in the ad checks out . BTW the shop where it's been setviced has a GREAT reputation with the local 968 guys, the mechanic has worked on dozens of 968s for many years and continues to do that , so he's very well versed with our cars..

Seems like an OK price to me! It's not low miles and it is a tip

And, it does have a new timing chain...

But there is a difference on the mileage. The Ad says the miles are 139,896 but the close-up photo of the interior show 140,430? A 534 mile check out drive? Something ain't kosher here.

Those two discrepancies might cause some skepticism re the alleged " showroom condition " also, but only an in-person visit ( and a thorough PPI ) can determine just how good the car really is. While , in general , tips might sell for less than six speeds, I think in the L.A. and the Bay Area markets, as a result of the ridiculous traffic people face every day, tips may be actually be sought out munch more than six speeds as daily drivers and thus might command equal if not even higher prices , all else being equal . If indeed this car is in mint condition and mechanically in great shape , even at 140 k miles IMO the price is a very good buy. IF all those things check out .
