a color chart, with all interior and exterior colors, complete with pics
examples of various options
full breakdown of the stereo variations
memorabilia listing with pics of each item
updated Site Map
updated Tutorial
In addition to all of that, the various areas will get cleaned up, and some of the resource items pinned at the tops of the appropriate categories, making it easier to find things.
You'll probably start seeing things be added this weekend, and new stuff popping up almost daily.

this weekend i'll be working on the production database. i should have something up fairly soon.
next week we'll begin the work of the software upgrade.
the member map will be the first thing up after the software upgrade. it would be really cool in the meantime if everybody who has not yet done so, went in and entered their profile info. it's secure, and nobody can see it if they aren't a member.

this site has been and will always be the ultimate resource for the 968 Enthusiast. everything else will always pale by comparison. we have more active members, more information, more knowledge, and more fun than any other site. sure, we have personality clashes from time to time. who cares? that happens in any group. people who can't get past that kind of thing are better off not going to parties. yes, we have some rather unusual rules and restrictions, but they are for the betterment of the site and the members, and in large work very well. there are rules in every walk of life. there always will be. those who can't handle that should really seek professional help, or move to a mountain top somewhere and be alone.
in the end though, it's about the car. that's all that matters. and that's why we are all here. to that end, we will always work to maintain the most complete site out there, and continually work to update things and add things that the membership can use and from which they can benefit.

Makes any sense? Am I the only one?
Anyway, might be an issue to look at when updating, in case it's not my IPad's problem of course.

i'm cranking away on the database. it's a huge file though, and i'm putting it in a format that will be fairly easy to read, unlike anything we have seen so far, so it's going to take a while. i'm also having to make some corrections to erroneous data that is floating around out there. i have found a few cars that are outside the database as known, and will be counting those in. one of them is going to be featured here soon. supposedly the car does not exist, according to the porsche database, but i'm working on it, so i know it does, and when we're done in a few weeks, it will be up and shown here. there is another one that we'll have pis of here soon too, that is also not supposed to exist. my guess is that there are probably somewhere between 50 and 200 cars like that. i've seen at least 2 dozen in the 11 years i've been doing this.
i'm also working on the colors page, which will show examples of all of the colors of the 968s. i sure wish i could track down the copper car i almost bought, because i didn't take any pictures. it's a one of a kind from what i can tell, at least here in the states (also not supposed to exist).

awaiting approval from PCNA for some form of the database. they are not at all happy that somebody has been giving away essentially what they charge $100 per VIN for. this is making it more difficult for me to get approval. it will be a great disservice to the community if it turns out, that as a result of somebody doing exactly what we begged him not to do, we would lose what could be a great feature of this site. as it is, if PCNA agrees at all, there will now have to be lawyers involved in drafting an agreement that is satisfactory to both parties.
on a better note, i plan to work on the colors pages this weekend. i hope to have them up at the beginning of the week.

This was the copper color of the car I saw, but if my memory was correct, it was a cabriolet
