At least if you were a right-winger, you wouldn't forget where you put your rifle. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.png" class="smilie" alt="" />

Ever been driving along behind an auto carrier and wonder what happens if a vehicle on the upper deck comes off? Saw the results of this first hand and was so busy trying keep from getting hit by car parts and other vehicles trying to do the same that I didn't take a picture. The car was some kind of Japanese Econbox that came sailing of the upper deck of the transporter and landed on I 80 in Oakland. I was about a half a mile behind it and saw it come off. The car disintegrated into a million pieces that were launched in every direction including across three lanes of traffic. Fortunately no one was close behind the transporter when this occurred. Would have made an interesting picture. You'll never find me behind one of those things again, that's for sure.

They are horribly under-built and can collapse at any time. It is amazing they can run them at all! And the guys that put the cars on and lock them down are the same guys we wouldn't let touch anything we owned and you know they are up driving for 3 days straight with fake log books - Yikes!
