Any one have one and wants to part with it....let me know. i Prefer black...but doesnt really matter as i will primer & paint it flat black regardless. I need/want this piece to complete my intake modification & its no longer in production.

Doug foster (doster on this site) makes an even better piece out of braided, stainless steel mesh. I have used both and find the stainless steel mesh looks better and is much more sturdy. You can paint it black too, if you wish. Good luck, Bob Blackwell.

I have always loved the look of mesh, and think it looks great on cars like the Corvette Z06, Cadillac CTS-V, etc. One question, though it petrains more the the lower grill than the "mouth" grill on our cars. Does the mesh tend to get "wavy" and/or dent or bend easily? This is a little hard to convey in an email, but in some of the pictures I've seen, the grills look a little bent, though this could be a photographic illusion. Thanks.

Short answer is no. Mine (both upper and lower) have been surprisingly sturdy. I use the car as a daily driver, long-haul trip machine and do about 11 track events each year. There has been no change in the shape of either piece. The bottom piece bends when you install it to fit the curve of the plastic surrounding piece. The upper piece goes in straight and stays that way. I love the look of the 1/4 inch mesh and the durability of the product as well as the precision fit. Great, thanks for the info! I told Dave Greimann that I had hoped the wire mesh was the design he was working on when he was producing his grills, as I love that look, so, while I think what he came up with also looks pretty good, I was disappointed that he didn't go with the steel wire mesh. I'll get in touch with Doug Foster.

I am also after the upper mouth grille .....but much prefer the grille type and design of Dave Griemann's

from 968 engineering.

He has recently stated that he may consider re-manufacturing if there is enough interest......I am trying to

stimulate interest over here at our 2007 National Event on July 29'th when some 50 x 968's will parade around the Silverstone circuit .



Q. Has any one questioned how to access the Towing-eye with the mesh grille fitted ?

The towing eye is easily accessed by removing the wire mesh piece. Only two screws to remove and the grill piece comes out. Less than two minutes. Good luck, Bob Blackwell.
