WTB: complete set of Cup 1 wheels
#1

Looking for a complete staggered set of 17" Cup 1 wheels for my 968. Shipping to Toronto, or I can pick them up if you're in the Northeast.

we presume you mean a set of C2 Turbo wheels, often misnomered as Cup 1 - there are a few different sizes out there - the ones that typically came on this car are 9" rear and 7.5" front - are those the ones you want?

i think there are some replicas for sale

Thanks for the reply.

It's certainly possible that I'm mistaken. I'm talking about this wheel:

Looking for a complete set. I'd accept replicas if they're of reasonable quality.

yup - C2 Turbo - not uncommon for them to be misnomered as Cup 1 - it's from a european race version of the 911 that was in a series called "Cup" - the real Cup wheels are magnesium, and different sizes, but when the europeans first saw these, and that they looked like those, they dubbed them Cup, and then when the next wheel came out, this one became Cup 1 and the next one Cup 2 - however, porsche never called the wheel cup anything, and the only one to be called cup anything was the 993 cup wheel, which is the style that came on the later 968s, though still not exactly the same wheel

as a reference, you can get a brand new set of replicas for about $1100 - the real ones come up from time to time too

Thanks!!

Now, who's got 'em?

(And, Flash, where can I read more about your car and see some pics? I'm intrigued by your "way too many mods to list" claim )

lol - i have been meaning to put it all together in one place - there are quite a few threads about it - cruise around in the different categories - you will see quite a few - they have truly been "too many to list" - i lost count at 100, and that was a LONG time ago
