winking pop up headlights
#1

OK here's one for ya.................I go out to the store in the cold daylight hours. Oh about 3:30pm......Flash I know you don't understand cold out in CA but anyway....It's about 35F out. So I come out of the store and it's dark sooooooooo I turn on my head lights. The drivers side pops right up. Nice as you please. No left one though. So I turn them off and the right one goes out and slips back as it should but.....to quote The Night Before Christmas "what to my wondering eyes should appear" as I shut the lights off the right one pops up. So we play the game on and off on and off as they play one up one down. I finally got up the courage to see if I could coax the right one back down as it should be when off. Success. But now the right bugger only comes up 3/4 of the way and won't lay fully flat when at rest. Is this a cold grease issue. Any thoughts.

sounds like it may be just a touch out of adjustment and/or in need of a lube on the armature

Sometimes I have to wiggle the key in the ignition to get my lights to come up/on. So, I'm looking at replacing the ignition switch...this may be part of your problem too. Good luck.
