Who did I wave to?
#1

So who did I wave to earlier this week on Monday morning, as I was leaving traffic court in Oakland. I was west bound on Washington in Cobalt Blue cab -- and you were east bound in dark blue (?) coupe. What that Chris Vais?

Case was dismissed because the officer didn't show up! <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/biggrin.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

This was for going 80 in 65. I first did trial by written declaration -- which didn't get me out. So I asked for a new trial in person (trial de novo). The trial was 6 months after the officer wrote the ticket. He already responded to my written declaration. And the trial was set early in the morning (I was pulled over at night -- so presumably the officer works night shifts). I think I just beat the poor officer into submission....

I wish that happened in Arizona. My girlfriend's daughter's case was rescheduled twice because the officer did not show up. And, yes, she did ask for a dismissal both times.
