When heavy traffic is a good thing.

We have been seeing a lot of new members joining the fold lately. They are coming from all over the world too.

There has always been a pretty constant flow, usually about 15 to 20 applications per month. Lately though it has dramatically increased, with over 100 in the last 3 months, and 42 new members approved in the last month alone.

Looks like the word is out. Cool.

I would love to see the stats per country. I know its not a true reflection, but it should be interesting.

This is a good reason for this influx of course.

There is, is what I meant to say!

More people joining here means more 968's are landing in the hands of enthusiasts, which means the market for mods and upgrade parts should stay healthy. D1R, Paragon, RS Barn - keep them goodies coming!

And what pray tell does your marketing arm attribute this to?

It's great to see that this site is not only a meeting place of the "old boys" (and there are a good number of those!), but that "new kids on the block (site)" are always showing up and contributing!

Do the "owners / administrators" of 968Forums have a system in place, in which they send members such as myself, a "friendly" reminder that:

"It has been a year since you last contributed! Are you thinking of contributing again?"

I have gleaned much info (and entertainment!) from this site, so every penny contributed has been VERY worthwhile. Look forward to the "friendly" reminder!

lol - we've never done that. we don't want anything to seem like pressure or anything like that. people sign on, use the site, and if they are inclined and able, donate to it. we always said it would be free, and we don't want to push anybody. other sites do that, and even limit access based on whether they pay or not. we choose instead to leave it up to the individual, and then we reward them with goodies when they do donate.

as for what has led to this activity, it's the members that generate the interest. they are the heart and soul of the site.

We have the best people on the planet, therefore, the best site...it's easy.
