Do 18's that fit a 993 fit a 968?
#1

I'm looking at various wheels in a 18x8 (50mm offset / 6.5" backspacing) & 18x10 (65mm offset/ 8.1" backspacing)
Is it safe to assume that if a wheel states that it fits a 1995 911 Carrera Cab - it fit a 968 Cab?
Or is this a bad assumption? Is there hub mounting differences or something?

Thx

not at all - the offset is entirely different - the 911 tends to have narrower wheels up front too

there is a wheel calculator here on this site

that being said:

the 65mm offset will generally require spacers (5-7mm) on a 10" rim or they will rub on the inside

the 50mm offset will push the 8" rim all the way out, but it should fit, depending on the tire

Thanks Bob. In my surfing - I stopped by Tirerack and saw that they listed a BBS RS-GT for my Cab and I noticed the 911 (993) model also has them listed with the exact same widths, offsets and backspacing -- hence my simple question. The rack did suggest different tire sizes though. Thanks for setting me straight before I went astray and assumed other 993 fitments would work in other brands & such automatically.

Cheers
