I have hundreds of photos from the show through the years, many with Greg as he grew up. He's starting his senior year in high school tomorrow. Look how fast time goes by.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Yep, thats me. Photo was taken by my father @ the '92 NYS auto show. Thats when i first knew i woud one day own a 968.

i dont look too happy because i hated having my photo taken. They were a distraction and took away from my time drooling over the cars.

I just discovered that my 92 Cab (# 558) has the little while gloves, even unused and in a little plastic bag. And a little rag also in a plastic bag.

Boy are you lucky I have been looking for them for years. When I brought my car used they were not in it. I have been on Ebay and all sites looking for the gloves and rag that came with my car. WANT to sell yours???? Please

And even the bags are special!!! They should be the zip-lock type with a red colored zip-lock. OEM details, if you care about these things (which I do).

Mine isn't that old, #0119, in 1994, and I no longer keep socks that could date or out-date me....

Whoops. Thread on Rennlist puts the youngest 968 coupe in the US as a Summer Yellow numbered 318 (doesn't match with Jeff's numbers, but really close). But is it surviving? #307, Polar Silver, was seen at Hershey in 2009.

'... Yes, Gilders car is #8 of all the coupes. That is very low and option code 740 is "show car preparation" so it must have had an interesting history. VIN 0067 is also a 740 car and it was for sale on the internet a few years ago. ...'

I dare to doubt that. I've got a database with basic factory info of (pretty much?) all Porsche 944s and 968s and according to it some 968s where built in Neckarsulm (i.e. in the 924/944 factory). Here, these are not taken into account. I've got info about six US spec (4 coupes and 2 cabriolets) and nine RoW (6 coupes and 3 cabriolets) spec cars. These are very early prototypes I assume.

If this info is correct Gilders car is #12...

I have heard it the other way round, the last 944 S2s have been built in Zuffenhausen.

As far as I remember, the Z after the 96 stands for Zuffenhausen, a car built in Neckarsulm should have a N.

My previous 92 Coupe was #114. Also a quite early model.

In fact, that's true aswell. But that were only cars made for the RoW markets. More significant numbers too; 70 Coupes and 359 Cabriolets according to my DB.

I'm currently parting out an early RoW model, #285.

Why am I not able to quote?

because quotes are disabled due to people quoting things unnecessarily, and quoting long posts, including pics and such, and then saying things like "cool" - it bogged down the search engine horribly - one of these days we'll get that fixed - there is currently a problem with tech support that i am trying to resolve, but it may cost $300 to do it

OT @Porsche968CS:

You do not have a M030 front sway bar for sale, by chance?

No unfortunately not. The car is not equipped with the M030 option. Actually I was already quite happy to find a limited slip differential
