What color is this 968?
#1

found this picture surfing the web, reminds me of the old 1995 Volvo 850 T5-R & 1995 BMW M3 Yellows. Very pale yellow.

This car seems to have had some paint work. Picture must be from Japan (J-Spec Taillights)

and a couple other cool 968 pictures i found last night. An early coupe (recessed hood badge), a car with the ultra rare burgundy interior and a 968 with 944 Hatch/Spoiler.

The yellow could be summer yellow. I know of one 968 in the US in summer uellow- was a coupe and was owned by a guy in FL. Sold it a couple of years back. Was supposedly the last 968 sold in the US. Was also featured in Excellence along with his riveria blue 968 CS which he tracked. He is a member here- goes by USCarerra I believe. Not sure where the car eventually went. His was summer yellow for sure- do not remember if it matches the one in your pic though.

Summer yellow was a color found on a few 944's IIRC.

Not sure about the yellow, the others look like Midnight Blue and Wimbledon Green

Could it be a badly faded speed yellow? I know the red, if left to oxidize, starts to get "whiteish". As for the summer yellow, I have never actually seen the coupe (the second to last coupe made for the North American market). Here is a link to a summer yellow 944.

It could be the same color or maybe just a bad photo. Notice it has the early style 17" wheels making it a 92-94.5?

it does look like summer yellow - since you could order any color you want, it doesn't surprise me to see that color - i've seen quite a few things that are not on the "porsche records" so nothing much really surprises me anymore

My 1995 summer yellow coupe which was in Excellence was reported to me by Porsche cars North America to be the last coupe built for US. It was painted to sample 1975 summer yellow which is different from the 1987 Porsche available "summer yellow".I owned 2 1987 944S cars in summer yellow and the 1975 edition was closer to speed yellow but not the same. Sold car a few years back.

It looks like Talbot yellow. I checked our paint books and we have alternates all the way up to 1997 for Talbot yellow, but it was introduced in the 1970's. By the looks of the quarters and doors it seems really oxidized

What's up with the 968 with a 944 rear wing?

More than likely broke the stock hatch.
944 hatches can be had for as little as $50 sometimes free.
A good used 968 hatch $800+.

This is my Euro-spec 968 coupe in Rhodamine Red Metallic Code 83H. Just like in the movie "The Specialist" except mine is a coupe instead of a cabrio and I have the 17 inch wheels.

Thought I could share with you this rare color.
