What are the odds?
#1

Thought i'd share this story.

Went out for a short drive in my 968 right after work today. As i was going down 11th avenue i decide to make a left turn towards 10th and i get behind a white 924. We both make the left turn and come up to a red light on a 3 lane road. Hes in the far left and i'm in the far right lane. About 15 seconds later a guards red 944 turbo pulls up in the middle lane. So there we were........a 924, a 944, and a 968 side by side at the red light. None of us knew each other, it was totally random.

Given the rarity of all 3 cars. I likely have better odds of winnng the Lotto. wish i had my camera.

Sounds like a "Freaky Friday" kind of experience! Coooool. Too bad you weren't lined up Red-White-Blue. Let shame be upon you for not having a camera. Did you at least pull off and do the "meet and greet" with each other?

Cool nonetheless!

seems as if the windows would've come down revealing huge grins and leading to the "nice car" convo. I often see guys with 44s and almost always get the " nice car" comment. Hardly ever see 24s though.

It got up to 76 degrees today here in Bowie MD. I also took a nice long drive I ended up in Baltimore, 30 miles North of home.

Oh they did. We all had our windows down with huge grins. 44 guy started the convo

44: Nice Car
68: thank you, Yours looks good as well
24: 924, 944, 968...hmm
68: What are the odds of that
44: What kind of spoiler is that
68: 68 Turbo S spoiler.
44: 92?
68: 95, yours?
44: 86
44: 82?
24: 81

Light turns green, we all wave and get moving.

I hate seeing 924's to be honest, i always get evil thoughts of buying one, building a 924 GTR relplica and transplanting my entire drivetrain into it.

I *SO* would've gotten out and at least taken a picture with my phone.... Don't care what traffic thought. But that's just me....

On the topic of sightings, I was in Gainesville, FL (old stomping grounds - when I had my '83 44) a few weeks back on business (read: NOT in my 68), and passed a 68 going the other way on SW 34th St... anyone on here? I still frequent G'ville, would be great to meet up. Never saw the 68 b4 when I was living there.

Your talking NTC bro. Might get run over or shot. Anway, what a great moment it must have been for you. Reminds me of the Escalade commercial - I love that one.

Yeah, it was cool.... not having been to a 968 or PCA event yet (I know, I'm a slacker), I RARELY see another 968, let alone a 944 or 924.
