What are the components of " handling " ?
#1

So what exactly is factored in when one speaks about a car's " handling " ?

Guessing the biggest component is cornering / turns ( roll, etc ) followed by steering ( overseer, understeer, resistance ..) followed by flex, followed by tramlining , saggy butt when accelerating or saggy front when braking, how planted the car is at high speed, ...anything else ?

handling is the characteristics of the car's ability to remain stable during shifts from left to right, and its ability to absorb bumps and anomalies in the road without upsetting the stability. this is typically shown in slalom tests. tramlining is a symptom of poor handling.

what you are referring to is all in the area of "cornering". that is the ability of the car to remain stable and the tires in contact with the ground during a corner. this is typically shown in G force holding.

sagging butt, while spring rate related, is not a part of handling or cornering.

what the car does during braking, while it can also be spring rate related, is entirely separate, as it is more about swept area, friction, and hydraulic system balance.

stability at high speed is also a separate area. that is almost entirely aerodynamics.
