Removing the motors from powered seats
#1

Picked up a set of light gray sport seats from a Porsche shop in NY. They're in very good condition. Ordered some CPR to take care of a mark on the bolster but other then that these seats have seen very little use.

I removed my old seats and figured now is a good time to give the carpet a good shampoo. So as that's drying I got to thinking, I absolutely love the color look and feel of sport seats but that weight of 50lbs ea is gnawing at me. Then I thought, the motors are a pretty good size and cased in metal. So once I get the seat at the right height why not unbolt and remove the motors.

Anyone know just what kinda weight that will save? May not be worth the sacrifice.
