Undertray Snaffu
#1

I thought I'd put some miles on my 968 before bolting the 3 undertray pieces back on after a bunch of restoration work, belt/roller replacement, stopping leaks, etc.

Only problem is that I got so excited to test drive it, I drove it before putting the undertrays back on, losing some of the mounting clips and screws that were loosely sitting in place.

Any tips on getting replacements? Should I just go to hardware store or order from P-Car supply company? Knowing what to get is going to be chore. Gotta dummy plates into place and count what's missing. Ugh.

i guess that depends on how much you care about originality - i have swapped out all of that stuff with better hardware - some other guys would have a a fit

the hardware for the front 2 undercarraige pieces is pretty standard - the hex bolts are standard pitch 6mm by about 12mm long - other than the two little nuts for the front apron, the rest is sheet metal screws that go into clips very much like standard door panel speaker mounting clips - the front apron uses conical washer on those screws though

i haven't looked closely enough yet to see if the rear tin pan stuff is the same, but i would think it would be

do yourself a favor though, and get a tap for the holes for the hex bolts, and chase the threads - the aluminum it runs into can get bunged up pretty easily
