TurtleWax 2001 Wheel Cleaner Wipes
#1

It has been previously discussed (and discovered by Jim aka Anchorman) that TurtleWax wipes are great for cleaning the wheels and leaves a great protective coating.

It has been noted that they discontinued them and came up with new packaging known as "Turtle Wax 2001 Wheel Cleaner Wipes".

On TV, I saw an advertisement from "BIG LOTS" (formerly Pic-N-Save??), that has thick packs of 20 wipes for $1 each.

I decided to take a trip to Big Lots, for a register worker to inform me that someone had bought out the store 20+ packages the previous morning. She informed me that the guys were swearing by them. Lucky for me, there were 4 left hiding on a back shelf. I decided to go to a "further" Big Lots and purchased the 9 remaining packs they had left.

If anyone is interested, check out Big Lots (assuming it's national) and pick one (or more) up.

The packaging:

They have a bunch of them at the one in Huntington Beach. Beach Blvd. & Atlanta Ave. Right next to the Sponge Bob window shades.

Tried these baby's out and OMG, they work amazing. Very little effort, and only have to go over everything once. I'm glad I got thirteen packs now <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

I finally found a couple extra minutes and hit the Big Lots close to my office......none available. So I headed over to Venice and found a Big Lots there and I am now the proud owner of 20 packets of wheel cleaner (I bought them out). Hope they are as good (read: sponge worthy) as everyone says they are! Thanks Eric for the heads up (missed you and Suzanne this weekend).

1. It's nice to be remembered for a good thing - thanks.

2. Never heard of Big Lots - but now that I know about the product, I'll keep my eyes open in other NJ outlets.

3. At least I still have my remaining dozen or so containers of Turtle Wax wipes. At the rate I'm using them (meaning S L O W L Y), I should have a supply that's good for at least the next 5 years or so.

Just sprayed off my wheels for the first time since I wiped them down with the Turtle Wax wipes. WOW! The brake dust just fell off! The PO put really dusty pads on it right before I got it. I was having to scrub the every couple of days if I wanted them to look good. Outstanding product, I'm gonna go look for more!

We're Doomed!

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Retailer Big Lots Inc. (BLI) on Thursday said it plans to close about 85 close-out merchandise stores and 41 furniture stores, leading to pretax charges of about $60 million, or 35 cents per share.
