OK, so the manual says remove 1 screw, pull the lens forward to get to the bulb. Right. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/mad.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> When I do this the entire assembly, bulb-encased, moves, not the lens. Grr.
I'm having the same problem as in my old 944: one side (right) flashes twice as fast as other and front signal on rt is much dimmer than left.
So, help me here boys, is there some sleight-of-hand needed to replace a front turn signal?
Thanks much.

[quote name='Etnier' date='May 4 2006, 02:21 PM']Follow the wire to the back of the bulb mount. Twist mount CCW to remove.
Be careful when replacing the assembly into the body that the tabs on the front inside of the assembly properly engage the slots in the body plastic.

At this point I can only move the assembly forward and backwards. I do not see a wire. I am afraid to force anything and cannot figure out how to remove lens. Do I need to remove the bumperette (manual doesnt say that)?
Thanks

[quote name='flash' date='May 4 2006, 03:23 PM']yeah - i've never had to do that - had one argue with me a bit once, but it still ended up coming out - the key is pulling straight forward - sideways, and you fight the clips

Thanks, everyone. I'll have at it tomorrow and report in.
Probably just need a bigger hammer!

Sorry so long for this reply, been really busy this week.
I did get the assembly off (thanks for all the instructions/advice) and changed the bulb. As I feared, this did not fix the problem of rt front turn signal being dim and flashing twice as fast as left. I suspect a ground problem.
Any advice on running this down, where is ground attached, etc?
Thanks!
