Tuning attention for changes in altitude
#21

Great string. I know I saw the description of that Audi part (along with pictures) in another thread. I'll pick up one of each of those and keep them handy.

As far as the original thread goes, I live in Denver and brought the car straight here from Atlanta. While I'm sure it is a tic slower, it seems to have compensated just fine.

Mick -- drop me a PM if you would like to meet and compare cars when you come through.

I think I found the HCV in my car, but I can't tell if it's original not. It's so cramped in that part of the engine that it's impossible to take a good picture. However there does seem to be some metal plate right by it, but again, that could be by original design. Notice the drooping black plastic on the bottom of the picture, when I got this car, I had to get day time running lights installed. The people at the shop, in their wizdom, decided to run a wire right past the exhaust through thin plastic tubbing =/

Just goes to show that part of the engine WILL melt plastic. Anyways, it's another thing to get checked out the next time the car is at the shop. I may request the metal Audi part, or a small fan <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
