Flash has been called crazy a number of times. Some people thought he was crazy when he claimed he could produce a supercharger that could deliver 300 hp reliably, earlier he was told that he was crazy to think that the 968 could be improved because Porsche had wrung out every possibility for power and handling. So yeah, he is our Mad Genius...basically the Steve Jobs of 968s.

jtp - no idea how you would do that with a 968 top. it would weigh about 80# and be very awkward. you must be 7' tall with really long arms and a strong back[/quote]

I'm 5'8" and 175 lbs, with average length arms but my back must have been strengthened from construction work and military training. The 986 top was about 70-80 lbs also, basically I lifted it above by head and got into the car like I was going to sit in the passenger seat and set it down onto the spin locks and windshield seal. Really easy.

interesting gymnastics. i had to do much the same thing with the mgb top. were i to do that these days, i would end up with scratches and dings on the car, as well as the top of my bald head, not to mention foot prints on the seats.
