<{POST_SNAPBACK}><!--quotec-->Assuming one can will spray 3 plates. Thats $10 per car in my house hold.
SOLD!
I'm not the type to go running lights but I've gotten 3 redlight cam tickets and my wife has 2. Some of those lights seem to rigged with a shortened yellow light cycle.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Oh they are revenue machines no doubt. Red light cameras never bothered me but statistics show in Virginia that they shorten the cycles and of course 90+ percent of intersections that have the cameras have a higher accident rate.
NBC4 in DC did the testing on the plate stuff, video is still probably on their website somewhere

<{POST_SNAPBACK}><!--quotec-->I ordered that spray a couple of months ago, applied it to all my plates but no idea if it works though... I mean, how would one know ?!
...think about that for a second... <!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
There is always a flash when the camera goes off so if you do not get a ticket after seeing the flash you would know.
EDIT:
I was wrong it was abc7

<{POST_SNAPBACK}><!--quotec-->Ah, I knew there had to be a way to test that ( well, not deliberately testing it.. ) but I am personallymore concerned about speed cameras starting to be installed on streets and highways than I am with red light cameras, as I don't even come close to going trough a yellow.. overly cautious there<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
One town here the red light camera would go off if you came to a stop and your bumper was over the white line. Stupid speed cameras flash too so you'll know if you trip one.

Not sure how well the infrared would work on the plates? Also guess they want the color of the car and as much detail as they can get. Some local high school students got the smart idea to print fake plates matching the teacher's cars they did not like and purposely run through the cameras. <{POST_SNAPBACK}><!--quotec-->that would be a felony in most states - the same as using somebody else's tags<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
yes it is and that speech stopped it at the one high school.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}><!--quotec-->the red light cameras here have shown a dramatic reduction in accidents in intersections<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Not in every study I have seen in the state of Virginia which is the only studies I have seen. Significant (double digit percentage increases) in all those studies.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}><!--quotec-->dan - go out and take a pic using the flash on your camera - take one of a plate with no paint, and one with - same lighting and positioning (like side by side) - it would be interesting to see what difference there is<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Needs to be at the right angle for the picture but watch the video above from one of our local news stations and you can see the results

LOL probably should have watched it myself before posting the link. I saw it was on of my local stations and assumed (bad move I know) it was the original story I saw a few years back.
