I can't believe it. I finally found the source of my boost problems. The new beautiful TIAL 46mm wastegate is the problem. I went looking for the source of the weak low end on my Turbo RS. I checked all the plumbing for the wastegate and adjustable boost. Everything seemed fine other than the power. I removed the wastegate and connected a low pressure source and found the wastegate valve opened at 12psi. Seemed ok. I them took some cheesecloth and covered the inlet and blew in. I could hear and feel air passing through valve. I started to dissemble wastegate and noticed the valve was not seated. From the diagrams I believe the valve seat (ceramic) is missing!@!!!
Holy crap/ I have spent several hours on the dyno and track to find out the most beautiful and regarded wastegate on the planet was not assembled correctly.
I put on an old 951 piece and my car sounds mean.
I will take back to Cyntex to double check fuel/air before I go to track. I'm getting close to having a monster.
9+ years down time and a whole lot of money and time pays off, Ihope!!!
Update soon
