The Sick Deal
#1

OK - many folks have questioned my sanity for wanting to race a 968 because of the scarceness of parts.

PURCHASED! 1 running 1993 six speed 968 92K miles - $1200 - no title. Body in great shape. Interior destroyed because the rear hatch has been broken and allowed water damage.

Gotta love Craig's list!

This will provide a wealth of parts for racing plus a host of stuff to sell to my compadres who need scarce parts.

Wahoo :-)

nice, my ass ! with our luck, this "price sold" figure will now make the 968 market value database used by insurers, and no doubt without any qualifying details as to the reasons for the price, causing all of our cars' average value to plunge even deeper into the abyss it is now..

kidding, kidding... but someone here has to start the year off on a cynical note

great deal !!! and lucky you grabbed it before some Porsche salvage yard got to Craig's list , sure they would have bought it even a triple that price. Congrats, WELL DONE !

Wow, that is a great deal!

I haven't had problems finding parts, yet. Now I know who to hit up next time I need something.

YES... I am THAT desperate....

I can say, without a doubt, that my wife would kill me....!

And I have thought about it often. If perhaps I lived in a better climate, I could argue for it, but no such luck. Ashame really as my kids are both small enough to fit in the back for the next few years.

Can I be put at the top of the list to purchase the Speed Yellow Cab in the unlikely event that your wife finds fit to do you in?

Wow, a great buy, the parts alone!!!

Wonder how many of us checked our local craigslist just now . Here is the only 968 mentioned in my area. You can get 3 cars for the price of one very nice 968!

"

1972 Porsche 911...not stock

1994 Porsche 968 Convertable.....stock

1986 Lotus Turbo Espirt....last of the carburated.

$9000.00 each or $25,000.00 for all three

"

Seen this ad before, the price is coming down so bid $20K for all 3.

No LSD on the car. I should also say the body has no dents but the paint is pretty worn out. But who cares!

Pablo - I did think of your perdicament. If you need to buy my RX7 race car I'd sell it cheap - its a front runner and healthy......but not a Porsche.

I agree, what a color combo; yellow, tan and red. Sounds like the flag of a small country.
