Topic continued from a previous thread..
The TN side is a bit strict, another sport bike rider died a week ago so the presence was up. As long as you respect the double yellow and the speed your ok. They dropped the speed from 40 to 30, so you really need to keep it at 29. But there are enough corners to still make it fun. Most of the roads outside that one are not as patrolled and are as much or more fun. We also went across the Cherohalla Skyway which has a lot of turns and is much more high speed and didn't see any police presence. Coming from SC we took a longer route then the Highway up there. We picked up Rt 28 in SC and took it all they way into the resort in Fontana. That portion of 28 is much more fun then the Dragon and longer, roughly 50 miles of tight twistie turns with no police presence.

I think I might have to see if I can get some time in the spring to go down and check it out. I don't know if I could deal with overzealous cops though.

There is a map of the radar spots on the Tail of the Dragon sites if you want to know were to find them. But there are enough other roads in the area that map the trip more then worth it. Coming from your area, I'd drive down the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Which car has better lines, the 997 C4S or the 968?

I like the lines on the 997 better, but thats only because I really don't care for how the top is so high on the 968 when retracted (reminds me of an old VW cabrio). Also, the line in the quarter from the piece that makes the trunk. (is there an official name?)
