I just called Sunset today to inquire about the same CS steering wheel and they are now asking $481.00 plus $18.00 for horn contact switch

Can it be price has gone up $100.00 in past few months?

Anyone else find the CS steering wheel for less then $481?

porsche pricing is unpredictable - things go up and down for reasons exceeding my understanding

I believe it is based on a quantum formula that has something to do with barometric pressure, phases of the moon, and Derek Jeter's batting average!

lol - that makes as much sense as anything i could come up with - given the odd recurrent springtime price shifts, i figured it had something to do with punksatony phil

A used one just sold over on RL for $400+ shipping if that gives you any bearing. Sunset quoted me the same $481 about a month ago...

It probably has to do with "supply and demand". I just noticed in the last issue of EXCELLENCE, the final of the 914 restoration series shows that very steering wheel was used in the restoration project. The article states that it was supplied by the "parts guru Jeff Clark @ Sunset"! Now that's a "plug" if I ever saw one!

I think the big difference is Jeff has left Sunset. He was a true asset to the company and took good care of the customer. I guess they didn't notice that. Too bad.

Jeff - no argument there - Jeff Clark was the man! Sorry to see him gone. I will say this. The Sunset rep I'm dealing with now is Luke Rogers and he has stepped up big time for me and others I have talked to. I think he's going to be just fine and I'm getting the same pricing that Jeff offered with fast email response. Give him a shot.

Yes, Jeff has moved but I dealt with a lady last month and she bent over backwards to help me
