SUNROOF TROUBLE ..... THE SWITCH ....
#1

When I first bought my 93 968 i stripped my gears.I ordered new ones off of paragon. Until one of the arms is lower than the other. So I figured the timing was off so i cracked it open. Then the position down button for the sunroof wont work. Therefore the cable shot out into the back. Now I cant Retract the cable because the the button wont pull the cable back in. Im assuming its a bad relay or the motor is burnned.

Can anyone please help me..

Sounds like you exceeded the limit switch travel. #1, feed the cable back into the gearbox in the headliner. You will have to get into the mechanism at the DS rear panel area - it can be done. Seldom will you have relay or electric motor failure on the roof - it's usually the gears and the limit switch issues at the root of the failure. With the drive cable pulled back so far, you will have to manually feed it forward again.

It's all relatively easy to do - but you must be patient! 2-3 hours max to re & re IIRC - check post http://www.968forums.com/index.php?showtop...563&#entry22563 or use search for more info. good luck - careful not to strip the new gears either (don't ask why I know). gears are cheap from Paragon, so get a spare or 2
