Stupid 964
#1

Grrr I am really starting to hate my dad's 964.

It wasn't starting for the meet in Emeryville or for the Wash n shine in Walnut Creek.

I swapped the relays out and still nothing.

For whatever reason I got the idea to disconnect the power.

After I reconnected the car started right up. WT heck?

We've had sooo many electrical gremlins I'd almost mistake the car for a 928.

Nah, he's a hard core 911 fan and really has no interest in the front engine Porsche's.

Time to check the basics, timing-fuel-codes.

And here I've been wanting to get a 964. Oh well. It's a Porsche.

I really wish the 911 was easier to work on too.

The 968 is sooooo much simpler.

The "G-Platform" 911s which concluded in the 1989 model year, are actually very easy (and cheap) to wrench on. Parts are plentiful as well.

However, yes, the 964 did change-the-game on the 911. As did the 993.

Thus, pristine 89 911s are highly desirable!

HAHA <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/biggrin.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> I think you and I will be competing with each other. I am keeping my eye open for a nice 87-89 911 G50.
