I'll be replacing my clutch in the next week or so and since the starter has to be dropped I thought I'd clean it up WIIT. Per the records the starter was replaced almost 60K mi. ago so I suspect the brushes are in need of replacement.
Is there a source for these brushes or is it a case of take it apart, see what's in there and then go fetch the parts?
Any other suggestions for while I'm in there?
I'm soaking the exhaust bolts nuts in PB Blaster at least every other day right now,

When taking down the exhaust system, remove the whole thing in one piece from the header flange to the muffler. Much easier to remove the hanger bolts than wrestle with the top two bolts at the cat flange.

I have the clutch disk, PP. TOB, release lever shaft bearings, new flywheel bolts, pilot bearing and rear seal coming from Paragon, parts should be here today.
Thanks for the tip on the exhaust system. As for the O2 Sensor, I'll look through the records but I don't think it's been replaced and w/ 105K on the clock it's about due. Thanks for the reminder, I went through a faulty O2 sensor problem on the 911, don't want to do that again though now my troubleshooting skills should be much better.
I would rather just replace the brushes if I can, save $90+ for other projects.
