I mentioned this in another post, but I thought I'd make it a little more visible by startint a separate thread. I learned this weekend that the balance shaft covers, which tend to be commons areas for leaks, aren't sealed to the block with a gasket. Instead, they're sealed with Loctite 574 flange sealant. You can either buy it from your friendly Porsche dealer (mine wanter to separate me from $53 for the privelege), or you can buy it from places like Amazon.com for around $16 for a 50 ml tube.
