Nightmare with paint codes
#1

Hi,

<img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/dry.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Having a nightmare with the L908 paint code Grand Prix white and matching.

Does anybody know the derivitive of this for a 968 CS 1993

Seemingly there is a P5 R4 and another one as well as the standard one

Any ideas?

I no longer have the sticker in the boot for obvious reasons

This product is high quality and accurate on the color. Give the interface your year and make. It will spit back all the colors...908 is in there and is the same as P5 and R4, all listed as Gran Prix White.

Option codes 030, 220 - Nice!

Best wishes,

All plastic parts like bumpers and mirrors ar darker in color than metal parts on the car.

Bozo,

You have just mentioned all the problems that I am facing!

bumpers and plastic parts too dark (even with the same paint!)

My new paint is too yellow also

This is what I have worked out so far

L908 P5 and R4 are all the same colour just differant internal codes for the same colour over the years

However there are according to the Glasurit site three differant tones of Gran Prix white all with the same code

One more red than the base colour and one lighter and more red

All still white of course

Not more yellow though

Weird
