are you going to leave it crestless ?

Good observation and question. Looking at the photo, if it were my car, I think I would leave it crestless. I like the stealth aspect of that, and the philosophy of "If they know, they know (it's a Porsche); if they don't know, I don't care." And, of course, the crest can always be added.

at least at this point, yes - i like the clean look - i also like the fact that waxing it is going to be simple and there will be no marks left around the badge - that was always a drag - i've never been one for logos and badges and such on cars - likely dumping the painted crests on the wheels too

my philosophy is this: if i'm not getting compensated for advertising, i'm not doing it

maybe i've been too long in the promotional game

so then the 968 emblem on the back - also off ? or paint it midnight blue - that would be my suggestion.

I'm kind of warming up to the stealth look, but only after after seeing these photos.

( not saying I'm changing all my color and contrasting logo scheme, but I do like

the "secretive" vehicle appearance, too )

Another look at the photo shows that you haven't reinstalled the windshield washer nozzles. Since we had a discussion some time ago about how they "leak", I'd also keep them gone. What I'd look into, though, is running hoses onto the wiper arms so that the fluid is put directly on the windshield. Ford and some others do this, and it works very well. Of course, since you'll never drive in rain, or wet, or dirt, you might do without entirely. Here in NJ, I think I've gone through a gallon of washer fluid just in the last two weeks.

Flash, really beautiful seats. Makes your cab look really special.

Mine look like Miles' dark blue seats as posted on Rennlist968 - same scratches on the side bolsters but no paw prints.

Sport seats I have tried have been a bit too confining for daily street use. Smaller people don't have that problem. I would like to hear from people around 6' tall and 42L jacket size on how they fit in seats like Flash's for short daily and long Sunday drives.

Thanks

PS: nice web site. 1st post over here.

OK, I've looked again - and again. Now that you tell me they're there, I can see two little dark areas that looked like reflection from some part of the wiper but must be the nozzles. OK - so now I've given myself an idea for when I redo my hood.

no worries - it's definitely a personal thing - i wasn't even convinced when i did it - i knew i could always put it back though, so i wasn't concerned

since then, i have come to love the cleanliness - all external markings are going away (except for the letters on the back, that just looked wierd) - the painted crests are going away with the wheels - i'll probably go with the unpainted ones - the numbers on the back are already gone

Why did you choose to delete the designation?
