So... Starting Friday I noticed that the car was running a bit hot. It was hot out(85), so I thought nothing of it. Usually it's always just below the middle mark. Now it was a bit above it. Saturday was really hot and it went up to the middle of the two marks(at it's highest but lowered down to above the middle mark for the most part) while I was on the freeway. I figured maybe my coolant was getting low. Driving through the city on Saturday, temps were in the middle of the middle/top white marks.
Today(60) on the freeway temp was just above the middle mark.
I checked my coolant levels and it's fine. Which worries me now. Driving on the freeway it hovers right above the middle mark. Street temps are a tad higher but if I go past 3k rpms consistently, is when it gets up to the 10:00 position. Turning on the AC does not appear to change temperature if i'm driving normally.
Thoughts? Where to start really. I don't want it to turn into a full blown problem. Water pump was changed last time I had my belts done. About 15k miles ago which was 1 year ago. Coolant change has never been done as far as I know. I can hear the cooling fan running if I open the window sitting at a light.
Thanks!

Could be thermo switch, Thermostat, or fan relay...are fans coming on w/o the A/C on ?

A fan is coming on without the AC on. The one that turns on when the car you turn the car off after driving for a bit.(that was my super technical way of explaining).

I hope it has nothing to do with the stock water pump. I looked today and it seems my front cooling fan died <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/sad.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> I will have to look into that. That would explain the street temps but i'm not sure if it explains the higher temps on the freeway though. I guess i'm going to start with the thermo-fan switch and hope that fixes it. If not, and I pray not, a new radiator motor.
There are three different temperature thermo-fan switches. Do I need all 3 of just one(and which one)?
75C
85/93C
92/102C
And while I'm placing an order, should I also get a new thermostat in case it is that?
