Silver was not my favourite colour for a sports car, but this 968 was too good to let pure aesthetics get in the way, so I made it mine about 12 months ago. Polar silver has grown on me but I still wanted to break up the silver and add some aggression. So I decided to refinish my recently acquired 993 Cup wheels in black gloss and mount them with Sumitomo HTR ZIIIs. I think the result is great. (sorry not a great photo though). I thought the silver caps might work with the silver car but now I don't like them and I'm searching for some black with coloured crest. Need some black wheel nuts too.
I only had a short drive in the car since getting the wheels/tyres so I can't say much except the they're a lot sharper that the 16" C2 5 Spoke with Toyo TR1s that I previoulsy had on the car. Not a surprise!
Cheers
Ian

I did think of that, and may do so in the short term, but I do like those coloured crests.

There are obviously no original thoughts anymore. Love the red calipers too. Another future project.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}><!--quotec-->It's pretty easy to mask off and paint the centre caps black to match. Also, the original 944/968 lug nuts came anodized black and they only cost a few bucks a piece from a recycler. I wouldn't paint the lug nuts as it will just come off everytime you remove the wheels - the anodized is really tough especially with the proper soft socket for the nuts.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Thanks for the advice Dave
