So, I'm finally going to Seattle to p/u my new baby, and I went to the MVD/DOL/DMV here in AZ and got my 30-day tag (need eyes on for VIN verification for metal tags...). Small issue popped up. I was planning on driving top-down as much as possible on the trip back to AZ, esp. once i got into the warmer climate states. The paper tag has to be in either the back window (fine the first couple days when it'll be raining anyway), or somewhere on the back of the car. I suppose I could just leave the thing in the back window the whole time, but I don't feel like stopping 19 times to explain that to the cops once the top comes down. Any ideas as to affixing the tag elsewhere? I figured SOMEone had to have run into this when they made their purchase...
I have thought about laminating the tag, then get magnetic strips with sticky on the back, then "frame" the back to allow the tag to magnetically adhere to the car, but not sure if it'd work, esp. at highway speeds....
Like I said, it's a silly issue, but I need to address.
Thanks everyone!
