Guards Red is a great color. The Painted Center Caps are a nice touch too.

Looks good but the steering wheel is on the wrong side . Just an FYI, the cruise control cable running across the top of the engine should be under the cover that's stamped Porsche. Looks a lot cleaner that way.

Is that really how the cruise cable came from the factory? I have seen it both ways but not in a brochure....maybe I missed it...

it looks like you have an older 944 steering wheel on there. I never knew there were 968s with that model wheel. Nice car!

In 92, we were not forced to have airbags... so 968's came with 944 steering wheel to make them 'cheaper' with our poor exchange rates.

Same here in Australia. However, as far as I know, the UK non-airbag steering wheel is a 3 spoker, which was a newer design. So maybe the leftover 4 spoker was just for us 'poorer' countries.

I agree... no cruise control, no airbags, Luckily we got ABS on the 968, but not on the early 944 S2.

Does your cable go under the vanity cover... I was looking at it and it seemed that it should go under, but was wondering if it put stress on the cable by being pressed down and possibly causing it to stick.

when removing the fuel rail cover, watch out for the little foam spacers on the exhaust side - they love to fall down into unreachable places - same thing with the aluminum spacers on the intake side if you have an early 92
