Well, the 1995 968 M030 coupe is no longer in my driveway. Everything will be finalized this Friday.



She's off to greener pastures and will be in the hands of someone more capable than I. For this I am happy!



My wife is also happy now that we are back to 3 cars with our 2-car garage! Guess who's daily driver sits out in the Winter?! Yours truly!



I have been trying to get the cab inspected, but every time I attempt to take it, something happens! Boo! Got around to removing the aftermarket alarm system and radar system (Flash- I kept the radar brain and front detector- Alpine brain I believe and a K40 front detector- you are welcome to them if you want)- what a pain in the @ss. There were wires everywhere and they tapped into the factory harness all over the place. All is well now. Let's just say I was sore for a few days after doing all that!



I also finally received the 944S2/968 Cabriolet Ski Rack from the PO! Way too cool! I will never use it, but it is neat to have! In the original box and all!



As soon as I get her inspected, she'll be off to Pete's for some maintenance items. I hope the weather breaks here so I can get the inspection done this week.

Okey dokey. I do believe I accidentally threw out the harness connector for the Alpine brain, but that can probably be sourced.



The rear detector was not in the car, just the front. I was not gentle when taking out that damn wiring. I cut whenever necessary to make it easier on myself!!!



I'll mail them out to you. Hopefully they'll be of some use to you...

We currently have 3 cars and a 2 car garage as well. A couple of years ago, I had our drive way widen and repaved. What they created was a little swing over space for our SUV. Now when Backing out the 68 I dont have to play the car shuffle game. The cost was well worth it and it doesn't detract from the uniformity of the community (my drive way is about 2 cars lengths long, so that helped also). I did have to have HOA approve it though.



Your only a few hours north of me and you have snow all ready! Wow!

Yep- heavy rains this morning and then the temp dropped rapidly. Been snowing ever since. The Philly forecasters really f'd this one!



When the wife parks in the garage, I can get the 968 out easily without moving any vehicles- our driveway is wide such that two cars can park side-by-side at the top. Unfortunately, she only parks in the garage in the Winter, precisely when I don't drive the 968. During the rest of the year, her parking space in the garage is occupied by various bicycles, yard toys, pressure washers, rakes, a lawnmower, etc.



Now that the snows have come, I'll need to straighten the space up so she can get her Pilot in there. I ended up building a large full-span shelf above the hoods of the cars- that's where it will all go this weekend.

In a previous house, I'd built the above-hood shelves, as well as large platforms above the garage doors - it was pretty amazing how much storage space that created (and how much junk went there!).



We now live in a townhouse with a one-car garage - and we have three cars, and starting Nov. 15 no car can be left parked in the street overnight. So, one car stays in a little community parking lot that's a short walk, and another gets jockeyed in the driveway.

Luckily, my son's company has a large parking lot, and the trailer will stay there. The tow truck will also stay there except when we have a need to pull tree stumps - or maybe I'll start a snowplowing business.



More likely, if my son is successful in getting rid of his Tahoe (great condition - anyone interested?), he'll use the truck for the errands he used to do with the Tahoe.

I am extremely happy with the outcome... the car is now in someone's hands who will enjoy it and use it much more than I ever would have. It is a good thing all the way around!



I'd also like to take a moment to say thanks to Pete @ RSBarn- had it not been for him, I honestly wouldn't be in the 968 fold anymore. He restored my faith in the car and took excellent care of it while it was in my possession. It never, I repeat, it never ran better than when he started maintaining it for me. I look forward to many years of trouble-free times with my new cab and with Pete's guidance and help.

knowing it's history, and the surrounding nightmare of the shady deal that the seller did on that car in your purchase, i am glad that both the car finally got sorted out, and that you are happy about ownership of another one - the green one will certainly be a good car to anyone, and the one you have now stands head and shoulders above it, if only because it is free of the mental baggage

Just ordered my SS brake lines from Pete Today.



It appears he's super busy at the moment with quite a few race cars. Come late Nov (not because he's busy but because my money is tied up) I plan on turning the 68 over to him for a good once over. Nice to hear such consistent praise for the Barn and Pete.
