seeking convertible top repair in Arizona
#1

Last fall my top made a sickening sound when I lowered it, and now is misalinged when up, to the point that I don't/can't use it in automatic mode. I suspect something broke and need a repair recommendation in Arizona.

Any help?

Bob,

A trip to CA would make a nice ride for my girlfriend and I. But should I wait until the top repair is available?

it's available, but right now only in the shop - he needs one to do to make the kit - he worked it out on previous jobs, but never made the template from which to make a kit - it has always been a one-off repair - he'll remedy that with the next one

i'm sending you a PM

The shop I've been taking my 968 to is just terrific. Dan is the mechanic and is a bit of a local legend amongst water cooled Porsche owners. They are honest to a fault and are absolute perfectionists, very knowlegable and extremely customer friendly. I cannot say enough good things about them. They also offer a year warranty (maybe 2 years) on all of their work so they really stand behind what they do. Yolanda runs the place and the mecahnics name is Dan. They are in Phoenix on Thomas Road on 52nd Street or so. The number is 602.840.3420. Perhaps you've already fixed it but in the future, they are great. Tell them Mick sent you! Best,

Mick

Thanks, Mick.

I did copy the info from you previous post. I'll probably pay them a visit after I make peace with the IRS. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
