Seat Pics
#1

Does anyone have close-up pics of the different types of seats available in our car (944, sport, 993)? I am trying to figure out what I have got. I have a 93 coupe (VIN# WP0AA2960PS820632). According to that I should have the 944 seats, right? The reason I ask is that I thought mine looked different than other 944 seats that I have seen. They only seat related option I have on my car is 437 Comfort seat left, which I'm assuming mean electronically adjustable vs. my manually adjustable passenger seat. Thanks.

Here's a pic of the black 993 style seats that came in my 95 cab - I'm selling them if anyone's interested!

Here's cashmere 944 style sport seats that I had in my red coupe....

437 is the optional full 8 way power driver's seat. The 4 way adjustment was standard. Besides the pictures posted you should know that there were five different upholstery options for 93. You had the standard Porsche cloth (which said Porsche on it), multi-color cloth, partial leather, leather/leatherette, and full leather. Then there were numerous color options. On top of that, you had the sport seat option. When just considering color and material there were 71 different interiors in the 968 over the 4 years!!!

I'll post some pictures once my memory cards (at work) are reunited with my camera (at home). I never can seem to remember them as I rush out the door to head home. As far as the pictures go, I think mine are identical to the cashmere/tan/beige/whatever colored seats in the red car. Thanks for the help.

Alright, Camera and Memory Stick have been reunited and I snapped a few pictures of my seats. Like I said in my last post they look identical to the tan seats in Jon's post except that they are in classic gray. Those are the standard 944 seats right? Anyway, here are the pictures.

Sorry, It took so long. I was struggling to upload my photos to webshots and post the direct link before I remembered that I could just scroll down a little further in the posting dialog box and directly attach them

A bit off topic but does concern seats. I found some grey 993 seats for my 968 but not sure which grey they are. Is there an example of seat colors anywhere? I've looked at my option codes but see nothing that relates. Also checked sticker--it just says grey interior. I've only got 20 hours left on the auciton!!! Thanks, John

I can't even begin to express how badly I want that SY coupe with the 993-style soft back sport seats! Tis my grail!

I'd also gladly take the magenta interiored car as well!!

Does anyone sell a seat cover that fits the M030 sports seats?

I am looking at a car that has those seats, but I would like to cover them for 2 reasons.

1) I want to protect them.

2) The color is not to my liking and I would like to simply hide them under a black cover.

How about covers for the rear seats? They are also an "unusual" color that is not really to my liking.

If they're magenta, it might take two seat covers on each seat.

How did you guess? Has the magenta interior M030 car been around the block before? Is it worth getting a clean M030 car if it means dealing with that "unique" fashion sense?

Yeah that car looks fantastic, but you'd need to REALLY be in love with magenta to be able to sit in it!
