I'm thinking black seat covers, black floormats, a black CS steering wheel, and black shift knob and boot. That might make it tolerable. It needs to be toned down a bit. I want to feel like Walter Rohl or Hans Stuck when I drive it --- not Liberace or Elton John.

What does it cost to recover the seats in black leather? Has anybody done that? That - plus a new steering wheel would make a world of difference.

Lucky guess. I'd contact an upholstery shop about redyeing the interior, as I'm not sure you can tone down that much magenta.

Anyone ever use products from www.iggee.com ? Looks like they make snug fitting seat covers for front and back seats. They also make dash covers. I can live with magenta door panels and glovebox. If everything is black, it actually might look pretty decent.

There are a number of companies around that do kits for recolouring leather.

I had a pair of sports seats redone in leather about 3 years ago but my late uncle couldn't match the colour.

This week I took delivery of a kit to match the classic grey of my interior. It includes, cleaner, prep, leather colour, finisher and sealer.

There is even a small spraying kit included for the top coats!

What I didn't realise is that car seats are effectively painted and not dyed, therefore changing the colour is relatively strait forward.

I have been told that I can also use it to do the leatherette (seat rears) and trim. I'll post how I get on, but it'll be a few weeks before I finish the job.

I've "painted" quite a few interiors without any problems. On the other hand, it doesn't fix all those cracks.

I paid a fortune for my car with the megenta interior that is trashed and will cost a ton of money to bring back to life as much as I can. BUT I love the way it looks <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/clap.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Okay, not sure I want to get seat covers, and certainly not sure that I want to spend $600 for them. BUT -- I think I actually found seat covers that will fit a 968 with Sport Seats. The covers for the regular seats seem to be $50 cheaper.

Has anyone had any experience with this seller or these seat covers? What are your thoughts? They look pretty nice with the ribbed (for her pleasure) pattern on the cover.

Here's the standard seat it beige. There is no photo of the sport seat in black.
